The euthanization of animals is an emotional subject for many people, but for several groups in Harnett County it’s more like a passion. Each week they put their efforts together to make sure almost all animals brought to the local animal shelter have a home and so far have been almost completely successful.

The Sampson County Sheriff’s Office wants residents in the county to know they’re monitoring every sex offender in the county.

Roderick Nathaniel Davis, 31, of the 3000 block of U.S. 301, Dunn, was arrested by the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office and charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, both felonies.
